Gender difference in parasympathetic function by HRR1min after graded treadmill exercise in healthy obese young adults

چکیده

Background: Heart rate recovery at 1st min (HRR1min) following exercise, an indicator of parasympathetic function is found to be impaired in obese children, adolescents, and elderly people. In adolescents people that HRR1min was significantly associated with females (OF) than males. This study aims establishing the gender difference among young adults (18–30 years age). Aims Objectives: conducted assess by after graded apparently healthy adult males evaluate for them. Materials Methods: Fifty (25 25 body mass index [BMI] ≥30) 50 age- gender-matched controls BMI ≤24.9) were subjected treadmill exercise. Maximum heart reached during exercise phase recorded calculated as above. The data analyzed. Results: showed significant decrease mean compared OF (mean 18.04±3.6 vs. 30.00±8.55, P<0.001), there delay when their controls. Conclusion: Parasympathetic decreased male female are higher risk developing metabolic syndrome cardiovascular disorders.

Exercise Intensity-Dependent Effects on Cognitive Control Function during and after Acute Treadmill Running in Young Healthy Adults

The idea that physical activity differentially impacts upon performance of various cognitive tasks has recently gained increased interest. However, our current knowledge about how cognition is altered by acute physical activity is incomplete. To measure how different intensity levels of physical activity affect cognition during and after 1 bout of physical activity, 30 healthy, young participan...

Symptom-limited graded treadmill exercise testing in young adults in the CARDIA study.

Symptom-limited, graded exercise treadmill testing was performed by 4,968 white and black adults, ages 18-30 yr, during the baseline examination for the CARDIA study. The mean estimated maximal exercise capacity by race/gender, expressed as metabolic units (METS), was: white men 13.8, black men 13.0, white women 11.1, and black women 9.4. Exercise test duration was higher in nonsmokers, positiv...

Hemodynamic Responses to Graded Treadmill Exercise in Young Untreated Labile Hypertensive Patients By ARTHUR

Twenty labile hypertensive patients and their age-matched controls were studied at rest and during five levels of treadmill exercise. Intra-arterial blood pressure, cardiac output, and various aspects of the pressure pulse wave were analyzed under these conditions. Exercise provoked diastolic hypertension in 30% of the patient group. Mean group pressure responses demonstrated an almost constant...

Gender difference analysis of cortical thickness in healthy young adults with surface-based methods.

We have examined gender differences of cortical thickness using a 3-D surface-based method that enables more accurate measurement in deep sulci and localized regional mapping compared to volumetric analyses. Cortical thickness was measured using a direct method for calculating the distance between corresponding vertices from inner and outer cortical surfaces. We normalized cortical surfaces usi...
